Basic and standard charges
We charge on an hourly rate basis and each of our solicitors has their own hourly rate. The hourly rate is based on expertise, experience and years of qualification. Our fees may also reflect the complexity of the individual matter, the value involved or the special skills required.
Our standard hourly rates range from £100 to £450 plus VAT.
For more details as to hourly rates you can speak to your solicitor or the Head of Department.
At the outset of your matter, your solicitor will inform you what work will need to be undertaken and provide you with an estimate as to costs. This will then be reconfirmed for you in writing, in our client care letter.
We will provide you with a costs update at any time, on request.
Disbursements and other charges
Any necessary disbursements or payments to third parties made on your behalf will be charged to you. This could include search fees, Court fees, and fees paid to barristers and expert witnesses. As we are obliged to ensure that disbursements are paid, we ask clients to provide us with the funds for such costs, in advance.
Alternative fee structures
On some occasions we do offer fixed fees and no win, no fee (Litigation Department). There are specific circumstances and requirements for these structures, therefore for more details please speak to your solicitor or the Head of Department.
